What We Do: Custom Fitting
When doing a clear bra, the process starts with cutting a single piece of material that will cover the whole panel. Our specialist then poceeds to form the material around the panel making sure that all the areas are covered. If needed we would loosen up a panel from the vehicle to get the job done correctly. See the images below.
A single, oversized piece of clear bra allows for a lot of flexibility comparing to a pre-cut template. When the material has to be cut, it is cut close to the edge of the panel or it gets wrapped around the edge.
Using a single sheet of clear bra also allows us to mold it around rare, custom or aftermarket bumpers for which there are no templates available.

What We Avoid: Pre Cut Templates
Most businesses will sell you the pre-cut templates specifically cut for your car. The problem with those templates is that they go on your car like a sticker and give you no choice of how much paint area they would cover.
The template would not cover areas around the grilles or around the edges of the front bumper, hood etc. That means that some of the paint is still going to be exposed to the road debris, elements and bugs. See the last image below. You can see the pits, dings and the damage on the paint in the area where clear bra does not reach.
With time the edges of the pre-cut clear bra will become very noticeable and the areas that are not covered will get damaged and would stand out. It quickly becomes noticeable on the silver or white cars and it will eventually show up on darker cars also.
